Skandia Sailing Club ball raises £20,000 for RYA Sailability.

Skandia Sailing Club held a charity ball on 23rd October 2008 in aid of RYA Sailability, the charity that makes disability plain sailing. The evening was a celebration of the British olymic sailing success with many of the Team GBR team attending including Iain Percy and Andrew Simpson.
The ball was a great success with huge amounts of money being raised through silent auctions and fundriaing games such as a charity casino.
RYA Sailability Trust Manager Morna Hughes said: " We are very grateful to Skandia Sailing club for their tremendous support and for all their efforts in hosting the event, this level of funding will make a huge difference in enabling disabled sailing".
